The first adventure we went on was to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. I have never been there before, so it was great to see it. There are lots of paths, and bridges and fun places for boys to run and explore. It was a bit chilly that day, and aside from geese, we didn't see many birds, but it was great and a place I hope we go back to over the summer.
Carson spotted some geese.... then tried to chase them!
(I didn't let him get any closer, you never know with geese)
Tried to get a picture of the "4 Muskateers" together, but it is virtually impossible!
These three monkeys had a great time throwing grass, dirt and rocks
Playing with my collage app
Jack and Wil
(These two have been buddies since birth and get along great, they are super cute together)
The second adventure we had was a walk through the Glenmore Resevoir, in an attempt to make it to the park. We walked, and walked and walked, took a path, it was too snowy, back tracked, took another one, kept going and going (Wil kept saying, "Just keep truckin' Mom"), and finally we had to call it and turn around without making it to the park. The boys were a bit upset, but we solved that problem with some lollipops and they seemed to forget the park existed at all!! The "Moms" decided that maybe we would have actually made it to the park, if it weren't for all the rotations in wagon riders, snack breaks, water breaks, slow toddlers, mud puddles, boot and sock kick offs and games of red light, green light. Even without making it to the park, the kids had fun and were exhausted at the end of it all!!
80 lbs of fun in the wagon
Yay, mud!!
Little Luke would not keep his boots or socks on!
It had to happen to one of them!!
And finally here are some pictures for fun!
The boys love bike races on the driveway! The set themselves up at the top then yell "on your Mark, get set, GO!" then lift their feet and go speeding down. Luckily we live on a quiet street!
Nothing like snacking on zucchini after a hectic trip to Superstore!
That looks like a lot of fun. And such a good idea! We might have to join you for an adventure or two!
