Happy Easter!

We had lots of Easter fun this year... from a Superhero soccer class to start our Good Friday, then a blizzardy drive to Red Deer, building snowman to finally having the sun come out and playing outside.  Oh, and a visit from the Easter Bunny too!

The NHL Playoff have begun!
(I have seen this a lot already and the playoffs are two months long!! These two love their hockey!)

Easter Bunny Love!

We got haircuts for Easter!
(Before and after)

Happy Haircut... Carson doesn't even look like the same kid!

Playing in the ball pit at Beaners Salon
(This totally grosses me out... but these boys were having tons of fun)

Decorating Eggs
(Wil found one of my old teaching books that is about 365 crafts to do, and he has been marking off pages.  He found a page with tissue covered monster eggs and wanted to make those.  They are painting their eggs very carefully with glue)

Drawing Monster faces on the covered eggs
(they were both so careful and so focused)

A happy boy with his happy monster egg

Checking to see if the "baby chicks" are hatching

Very carefully bringing the completed monsters to the fridge
(Carson normally does everything at top speed and is not all that gentle, but he was super careful with these eggs and walked very slowly, and was really quite proud of himself for being able to put them in the fridge all on his own.)

It was Superhero Day at Soccer Tots, Carson wore his Batman shirt and a cape
(Wil joined the class too and has discovered the joys of "photo bombing")

Ummmmm.... a blizzard in Red Deer so Grandpa and Wil built an awesome snowman and had a snowball fight!

Carson... Nothing stops this kid from riding his bike!

Okay, one morning later it's sunny and the snow is gone.... this province is crazy!!
(Wil and Daddy playing road hockey, shooting over the "wooden" goalie)

We found a "Momstown" Easter fair, Carson was the very first one in line for face painting and knew right away that he wanted a tiger! ROAR!!

Playing a little tball!
(Getting ready for his upcoming season, which should be starting in a week or so depending on the weather)

More bike riding!

Decorating some more eggs... the old school way!
The boys really enjoyed this!

I love that Wil made a "love" egg! He is so sweet!

Their finished eggs... all of Carson's got dropped, so when Grandma Red Deer eats them this week, they will be colourful on the inside too!!

Easter Egg Hunting!

They were so good at this and worked really well together.  Wil was really helpful for Carson, and shared lots of his eggs with him too.

Every boy needs some giant sticks to play with!

Showing off their NHL dog tags from a giant chocolate egg!

Eating the giant egg!
(No, I am a mean mom and I did not let him eat all of it!)

Back home and enjoying our first outside picnic on the new patio furniture!
