Moving on Up!

Well it is official!  The Ramsays are moving!

In a whirlwind of just a few weeks, we found a house we liked enough to put an offer in on, ended up buying one around the corner from it instead (for a really good deal) and then listed and sold our house in one day! Crazy!

(Our lawn sign, SOLD!)

It is an exciting time, but also a little bit sad. This was my first real house, and our first house together.  The house where our boys were born (well not literally in the house, but you get my point).  It is also the only house they have ever known, and where they have learned so many new things.  It will be so nice to have more space and a beautiful neighbourhood, and we will make new memories in the new house, but it will be a bit tough to leave this place that we love so much.

Our new house is in McKenzie Lake, so still in the same end of the city, just a bit closer to Deerfoot.  We are in a little community called the Harbours that is with in walking distance of the Lake and some of the schools.  We even have our own private community gate and dock right onto the lake for swimming in the summer and skating in the winter!  We are excited to take advantage of all the lake has to offer for all the seasons, and to be living in a very family oriented neighbourhood.  Lots of new exploring to do this summer!

This is our new house!!!

I don't have any pictures of the inside on my camera, so here are a few (of terrible quality) from the flyer so you can get a rough idea...

This is the kitchen, breakfast nook, dining room and front sitting room.
(I am excited about the big pantry, I can actually fit food into it!)

Dining room and sitting room again.  The family room right off the kitchen with fire place and the office (which will probably double as a play room for us) which is right off the kitchen/family room.

The master bedroom (big enough for a King sized bed one day!!), one of the upstairs rooms (will probably be Carson's after the pink is painted away), the basement and the basement bedroom (which was another huge selling point for us since 98% of our family lives out of town.  There is a bedroom and a bathroom with a shower and everything in the basement so when we have people come to stay they will have their own space!)

There are two more bedrooms upstairs that do not have pictures, one for Wil and one more for guests (come visit us people!!!) as well as a full bathroom for the boys and an ensuite for us.  I don't think we will know what to do with all the space!  We also don't have enough furniture to fill it yet coming from here, but that will come in time!  It is pretty exciting and we can't wait to get in there and make it our own!  Then I will put some real pictures up.

Luckily it is pretty move in ready... with just a little bit of painting to do in the boys rooms and some minor things to touch up.  We get this new place on April 13th and get to move out over the course of two weeks, needing to be out of here by the 30th.  (Mark your calendars if you have trucks and want to help... we pay in pizza and beer (or pop))!
