Gramma and Grampa Toronto came home with me from the wedding for a visit!
(cuddles)
The boys watching Wil play soccer
"What are you looking at??"
Soccer Star!
Carson helping Grampa fix the deck
T ball time
(Ready position)
Ready to bat
Big hit!
Yup... that's me coaching!
(Carson and Gramma cheering me on from behind the fence!)
The boys went to a car show
(Carson with Grandpa Red Deer's Mustang)
Car shows are exhausting
("mommy, peas make me a wittle bed on the floor, I tired")
All the grandparents were here for the weekend and we did a ton of yard work.... took down trees, killed ants, chain sawed and hauled stuff... Carson was really helpful!
He also did lots of fixing of his tricycle
Bowling!
(I discovered a summer "kids bowl free" program at Chinook Mall bowling alley. For just $25, kids and up to 4 adults can bowl two games a day, EVERYDAY, for the WHOLE summer! What a great deal!)
Gramma Toronto found a giant abandoned hornet's (wasp's??) nest behind one of the trees we took down... the boys are taking it apart to see what is inside! It was pretty cool!
Soccer Star #2
(Soccer Tots)
We went to Drumhellar to the Royal Tyrrell Museum.... awesome
(Carson loved the narrations on the head sets, Wil was a bit over excited and over stimulated, but he did slow down enough to examine some things more closely)
How the boys measure up to the T-Rex leg!
One of Carson's Favourite dinosaurs
Wil was the prairie dog whisperer... I can only see two in this picture, but at one point he had three on his feet and one more creeping up. It was very exciting!
Checking out the Model dinosaurs at Fossil World
There are two little boys over there under the legs... can you find them?!?!?
Digging for dinosaurs
(this was a great activity. There was a big dinosaur skeleton under the sand for them to excavate, and they also found several other real fossils that they could put in their little pail and pick one to take home. The loved it... Carson would have stayed there forever digging and discovering!)
The life size animatronic T-Rex
(It took the boys a little while to warm up to the dinosaur... when it was moving and roaring it was really quite impressive and a bit scary for them, but they both did and they loved it)
Carson not so sure of the T-Rex... needed Mommy to protect him until he felt more brave!
("Mommy, do it walk? Mommy, will it bite us?? Mommy, can he get me??")
Grampa and Carson watching the dinosaur movie
Yay. fun times in Drumhellar!
Ready for Stampede Day at preschool!
(Carson didn't get to Stampede or go to school.... but he was ready too!!)
My little cowboys!
Wil's Father's Day gift for Chad
(Best Dad in the World - in a CD case that stands up so he can bring it to his office)
More dinosaurs.... Halloween costumes are clearly not just for Halloween!
(cutest little dinosaur!)
