At 11 months Carson:
- is very mobile, not quite walking on his own, but crawling, cruising, climbing, and can get pretty much anywhere he needs to go
- loves to push furniture around
- climbs into and onto everything (he has mastered climbing into Wil's bed, right onto the stool, grabs the blanket and pulls himself up - fast!!! When we go upstairs we need to watch closely or close Wil's door)
- EATS, and eats and eats.... and unlike his brother loves meat and has a more adventurous pallet
- makes car and boat noises when he is "driving" them around the floor or tub
- says "mama" but I am not quite sure if it is directed at me or just a noise sometimes!
- is starting to follow some simple instructions
- can go up and downstairs and is able to turn himself around at the top to get positioned (at night we just have to say, "time for bath Carson, go upstairs" and he crawls right over to the steps and heads right up)
- loves the bath and splashing
- enjoys emptying cupboards and drawers
- follows Wil around and wants to do whatever he is doing, whether Wil wants him to or not
- is still the happiest, smiliest, giggliest little man
- thinks he is sooooooo funny, laughing at himself all the time
- thinks he is sooooooo handsome, and can spend lots of time looking at himself in the mirror (maybe a little like Uncle John!!)
At 11 months, Carson is FINALLY sleeping through the night! Well he was, then he got sick, but I think we are back on track. He has two solid naps each day, and we are really working on planning activities around his naps so he can get the sleep he needs. He is also sleeping about 11 hours at night, and goes to sleep on his own. We still do our routine, bath, cream, time with daddy and Wil, then bottle and cuddles and then into his crib. He sometimes just rolls right over and goes to sleep, sometimes gets up on all fours to watch me walk out, then goes to sleep. At nap time as well, if he does not fall asleep right away, he plays with his "friends" in bed, and then laughs at himself for a bit, then drifts off to sleep. Naptimes and bedtimes are way less stressful for mommy and daddy now and I am starting to feel human again. (Hopefully I have not jinxed it!!)
Up on Wil's bed... it is a bit blurry because he was SO excited he was bouncing up and down and practically vibrating!
(He loves the flags too and thinks that waving them around is the best thing ever)
"Gotcha"
"Feed me"
Nothing more perfect than a sleeping baby... except one that stays asleep all night!
What a little trouble maker!!!
