Happy Halloween!

We had a great night trick or treating.... here are some Halloween Highlights!

Scooping Pumpkin
(Carson took a giant spoonful and ate it, seeds and all, and Wil got a bit on his finger, screamed and stopped helping. "Mommy, I think I will just watch, pumpkin is sticky and yucky")

In addition to eating the insides, Carson flung them across the floor

Our Finished Jack-O-Lantern
(Wil helped design the face)

Halloween shirt from Gramma Toronto

"You woke me up for what!?!?!?"

So excited he kept trying his costume on
("Mommy, I will just put it on for 5 minutes okay?")

Carson had to try his on too

What a cute little pumpkin!

Supper
(my attempt to fill them up with vegetables to balance out the candy they were going to eat later)

Happy Halloween!
(All bundled under the costumes)

On his way to the first house

The spider was too excited to wait for us

The first house, our neighbours

Look at my treats
(yes, that is chocolate smeared on his face)

Cheese!

VERY tired trick or treater!

Sensational Snapshot Sunday

Hurricane Carson

"Mommy, let's go play in the snow and make snow angels"

Helping me "shovel" the driveway
(it is technically fall, so I guess he has the right tool)

Two dudes in the snow bank

Carson loved the snow.... just hung out by the bushes watching the world

My spooky Spider
(we had a little Halloween party today with the "babies" from Wil's prenatal class)
(we are really lucky that we have been able to stay in touch so long, and really develop some great friendships.  Also, so cool to see how grown up all these little people are now.)

Halloween Crafts
(the teacher in me was loving this!)

My exhausted pumpkin
(this is his half hearted "cheese" face)

Sensational Snapshot Sunday

Some weeks I have so many ideas for blog posts, and some weeks I just don't, sorry, I can't be exceptionally creative all the time ;)  I will blog at will when the ideas hit me, but I am going to try something new on days that I have no theme or agenda... just post some photos for you.  In reality, that is what most of you look forward to anyways right?!?!?  I will call these "Sensational Snapshot Sundays".  Here is the first one...

Carson giving Wil and Daddy a mittened thumbs up on the ice

Skating is exhausting!
(This was the first night, today we went for his fifth time on the ice and he can actually "skate" for a bit by himself without the red pushy thing!  He is doing great!)

Carson having a heartfelt talk with the bouncy giraffe
(He loves these things... I really should buy him one)

Johns
(Young John {my brother} met Younger John {my cousin Helen's son} while we were all in Ontario this week for Grandma's funeral.  They quite liked each other and I think he might have been my brother's favourite baby of all time.  He was so good and so entertaining.  What a happy wee man.)

"aaarrrrrh"

Northern Lights in my backyard!!!
(I know this is an absolutely awful picture, I don't have the right camera, but I had to try to capture it.  I have never seen them before, and could not believe I was seeing it in my backyard!)

I thought we were finished with "baby" food, but apparently these are the best snacks EVER!  Carson loves them, I can toss them in my bag, he can just squeeze them right into his mouth and at least it is fruits and veggies!

Daddy's Boy!

Playing in the fort of Chairs

Here they are...

As promised in Wil's birthday blog, I can finally put on some photos that Scott Frank took at the party.  He very kindly sent them to me in a different format since I could not figure out how to open them for the blog.  Enjoy...

Carson and Daddy watching the very exciting game of "Place the nose on the Elmo"

The formal game was over, but these two buddies were having so much fun sticking stickers
(Carson and Simon, the son of the amazing photographer and my good friend Shauna)

Stickers are SO fun

Proof that Wil actually ate something at his party...

I think the 3 bites he took of the bun were all he ate
(look at those cute little lips!!)

Taking some of Oscar's trash

Cupcakes
(Oscar the Grouch)

Cupcakes
(Elmo)

Cupcakes
(Cookie Monster)

Checking out all the cupcakes
(we did try to brush his hair, even wet it, but could not tame the bed head!)

Not so sure about the sparkler

3!

Love this action shot!

Cousin Charlotte and her cupcake
(Love her cute little hands and her beautiful eyes)

Carson taking a bite out of Elmo
(He ended up just eating the marshmallows whole, the cupcakes were a safety hazard for babies!!)

I think this is Auntie Shannon's phone

Presents are hard to open!

GOALIE mask!

Thanks again to Scott for the photos, and for working with me so I could post some to show everyone!
