Sunday Snapshots.... On Monday!

"I ride motorcycles"
(Carson picked this outfit all on his own after a weekend visit from D.J., who came in his motorcycle gear, and had the helmet, boots and goggles, all of which fascinated Carson. This was the coat and hat he picked to wear and the whole morning he kept saying, "I ride motorcycles too, I'm like D.J., I ride motorcycles". )

A little early morning painting

I LOVE when my kids dress themselves... the results are always awesome!
It's hard to see in the picture, but Wil has a lovely striped sweater, camouflage shorts, Mickey Mouse striped socks and of course his favourite neon green glasses!

Playing at the park

Ready for hockey season!
(Anthem time)

Mommy got a night out too!

School, Activities and Monster trucks!

This week was full of fresh starts and exciting things!  Wil started his skating class, went back to school and started another session of swimming.  Carson had his second dance class, played in the pool while Wil swam (and we even went on the "REALLY BIG SLIDE") , and is getting to spend lots of time with me! We also went to the community festival, McKenzie Frenzie and saw some Monster trucks at Monster Jam! Fall is kicking off in high gear, and it helps that the weather has been really warm and sunny.

Carson is the height of fashion with his sports jammies and high boots.

We came home from an evening out and Wil yelled, 'I'm going to get you old man!" and this was the result!

First day of Preschool!
(very excited)

Carson really wanted to be in the pictures too
(excited "cheese" face)

Ready for Skating class

While Wil and his good buddy Jack are in school (at schools just down the street from each other) the little brothers got together to have some fun. Carson and Luke are often overshadowed by their big brothers when we are all together, so it was nice for these two buddies to get time to be the "stars" and hang out together.

A little light ready

Being creative... Carson made a "choo choo train" by putting the chests together and he rode them all over the kitchen by pushing with his feet!

Rolling Carson is the big beach ball at McKenzie Frenzie

Of course Wil found the mini golf

This bouncy slide was a big hit with Carson

Daddy had some fun too with the football game!

So many bouncy houses!

Look at this cutie!

Wil keeping Ryder safe on the way to Monster Jam
(I think Ryder really just wanted to hold Wil's hand... they were really cute together and Ryder gave Wil lots of hugs and kisses... such a sweet little man!)

Ready for the Monster Trucks!

Popcorn AND Monster trucks... what could be better!?!!??!?!?!

Woohoo!

Awesome!

Some of us are just not made for that much excitement!

Ready for Fall!

Summer is winding down.  Back to school for Wil tomorrow, back to activities and back to normal routines.  I have to say that I am not altogether upset.  Don't get me wrong, we have had a great summer.  One of the best in fact.  We experienced lots of new things, saw so many people and just really enjoyed ourselves, but it was busy, very busy.... and I am tired!  It's challenging to fill days up with fun and stimulating activities, to constantly apply and reapply sunscreen to a screaming 2 year old, to remember to bring enough snacks and water and keep everyone happy.  It will be a nice change to have some things ready planned for me, school to keep Wil stimulated, sports and activities to burn some energy and some cooler weather to make it easier to sleep at night. Here are some more summer highlight pictures as we get ready to welcome the fall (which is my favourite season).

I try to make a point of always bringing my camera when I go to wake Carson up... he gets himself into the funniest positions and he is so cute when he is sleeping!

Nothing like a good backyard hose fight!

Who gave Carson the hose???
(The furniture isn't usually on the lawn... this was during the time when I was sanding the deck)

Sign of a fun evening!

A Glimpse into the future.... dudes cruising in their car
(The Wrights came for a BBQ and the boys got along great and Ryder was a big fan of the Cadillac!)

Yup... trouble in 14 years!

You can't tell from the picture, but behind the strapped on baby, Jeanne and I were dressed exactly the same (in a different colour)... even down to our hair style being the same!  Total coincidence, but it was really quite funny!

We went to our first movie in the Theatre
(Disney's Planes)

Enjoying some movie popcorn

Wil was very interested in everything that was happening

"Cheese"
(Carson didn't make it through the whole movie... he got restless, but Wil did and he had lots of fun!)

Two boys ready for skating
(getting back on the ice after some time off in the summer)

Carson's first time on his new single blade skates
(He really enjoyed resting in the doorway)

This is how Carson spent most of time on the ice....

Although he was able to stand a bit

LOVE this picture!

Wil did great... like he never stopped

He did SOOOOOOO well!

Sometimes they play so nicely together

Hanging out at Spruce Meadows watching the horses with Charlotte
(The kids loved the horse jumping, they didn't want to leave.  Charlotte was very enthusiastic, even people passing by thought her reactions were fabulous!)
